Final Run Game Mechanics

Understand the physics, procedural cave, difficulty progression, scoring, collision system, and score verification in Final Run.

Thrust and gravity

The helicopter is always affected by gravity. Holding the control applies upward thrust; releasing it allows the helicopter to descend. Velocity changes over time, so the aircraft keeps some momentum after each input rather than moving instantly.

Procedural cave

Terrain is generated as the run advances. The cave remains navigable while its center line, gap, and obstacles vary. This gives each attempt a different sequence without changing the fundamental controls available to the player.

Difficulty progression

The challenge increases through faster forward movement and a narrower cave gap. Early sections provide more reaction time, while later sections reward anticipation and precise control. The same physics rules apply throughout the run.

Collision and scoring

A run ends when the helicopter contacts the cave boundary or an obstacle. Score is based on distance traveled and is normalized so visual screen scaling does not create a scoring advantage. Only a signed-in player's best accepted score is used for leaderboard ranking.

Integrity checks

Scores are submitted for server-side validation. Checks compare the result with session duration and expected game limits. Suspicious or impossible submissions can be rejected so the public leaderboard reflects legitimate play.
